The above photo was taken at my parents’ engagement party in Redlands, California.
This was from my mother’s scrapbook. It includes the engagement notice in the New York Times. They later moved their wedding date up from May to March (St. Patrick’s Day!).
The above was taken after their wedding. My mother is wearing her “Jackie Kennedy” style boxy suit and pillbox hat. The color, a light green, was in honor of St. Patrick and the material–silk–was in honor of China. Plus, it was pretty.
From left to right: My father, my mother, Nai-Nai, Ye-ye, my father’s two brothers. This was taken on my parents’ official honeymoon in New York City.
