I’m very proud that my book GLAMOROUS ASIANS will be part of the ImaginAsian exhibit in celebration of Asian Pacific Heritage Month this May.
The exhibit, which was organized by Kate Agathon of Purdue University, the Council on Asian American Studies, the Tippecanoe Arts Federation and the Asian American Network of Indiana (AANI), features artwork, writing, CDs, DVDs, and books from across the nation.
The exhibit’s going to be at the Tippecanoe Arts Federation located at 638 North Street, Lafayette, IN 47901. There’s also going to be a silent auction of the featured contributions (from April 2-May 9) to help raise funds for purchasing Asian American Studies materials for libraries in Indiana.
Other featured artists include Parry Shen (the actor from BETTER LUCK TOMORROW), artist Bernard Chang (he’s drawn for Marvel and DC comics!!!), photojournalist Nhat Meyer (photographed the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and currently in Toronto), director Michael Kang (THE MOTEL), poet Bao Phi, award-winning novelist Maxine Hong Kingston and Congressman Mike Honda, to name but a few.
I am truly honored to be in such illustrious company!
And considering that my mother was born in Indiana, I’m thrilled to be part of this event! Go Hoosiers!
